Preparation Makes Perfect

The Welding Shop Calgary takes great care in preparation for any welding project. Sometimes this required heavy equipment and forethought. All our employees have safety training in shop and on any vehicles used in the shop including our forklifts and heavy cranes.

A professional job starts with preparing for the project and making sure all pieces of the puzzle are in place from blue print to finish we take great pride in getting all jobs done on time and right the first time.

Getting Ready For Powder Coat

Lighting a torch and making a puddle are the glamorous parts of welding. The hard work begins after the welds are made and the metal has cooled.

Now the grind begins. Before the project can be sent out for powder coat and paint the welds have to be ground smooth to give everything that finished pro look.

Just like this set of stairs on its way to the paint shop.

Welding Is a Dirty Business

Why should steel be cleaned before welded or repaired?

Steel surfaces and areas being repaired should always be cleaned before welding to prevent an adverse effect on the weld quality. Any contaminant like dirt or rust can impact the integrity of the job and lead to failure in the weld.

It’s a dirty job but needs to be done.

The Welding Shop Calgary understands the importance of making every job perfect and our commitment to a job well done sometimes comes with a bit of dusty work.

Multitasking Welding

The welding shop can organize a number of different projects for the plasma cutter. Even if your project has many intricate parts we can get them cut and welded faster using the plasma.

Welding Water Tanks

Welding doesn’t always mean using a torch to create a metal structure. Some times it’s only part of a larger project.

Just like these water tanks that needed a stabilizing structure to keep them in place in this large trailer. The underlying feet were manufactured by The Welding Shop Calgary to keep these giant water bladders in place while enroute.
